Before uploading files, we need to create a directory on the Host*. This is fairly simple to do. In order to to this you must be connected to the Internet.

I will give instructions for both Windows and Macintosh

Windows using WS_FTP LE

Launch Software

Before uploading the files, we need to create a personal directory in the Host.

In the right hand pane, select the button MkDir

When the dialog box comes up, type in personal as your folder name.

(Doesn't it figure? After all my harping about calling folders "directories," WS_FTP calls them "folders."

With the directory made, the Host site is now ready for your files.

*This step is not really necessary, but it can't hurt to practice this sort of thing.
