Uploading files to your Host account will become a regular occurrence throughout the semester. Basically, you log into your ftp server and select the files on your local computer you want to put into the Host account. In order to to this you must be connected to the Internet.
Be sure they all go in the same directory on the Host that they are stored on your Local machine.
I will give instructions for both Windows and Macintosh.

Select the files on your local copy of 575_website that are to be uploaded. In this example, you will select both the index.html file and the personal directory. This procedure will work whether or not there is a personal directory on the Host computer. Once selected, click the right facing arrow. |

Assure the program you know what you're doing by answering Yes. |

And the train whistle will let you known that all your files have been uploaded. |

And that's it. Your Web site is now published. You can access it at:
http://courses.lib.odu.edu/eci/jhollenb/eci575fall2004/your_last_name
where your_last_name is, well, your last name.
