Create a Web site structure, then link graphics and pages together with relative links. This work may be completed using a text editor and/or any Web authoring software you choose (such as Dreamweaver or FrontPage). This exam is open book, but not open discussion; you must complete all work yourself without any help from another human.
I have made pdf files showing what your goal should be. Note that there are two versions. One is for an "A" if you are an ECI 575 student. The other is for a "B" if you are an ECI 575 student, and an "A" if you are an ECI 475 student. They are in pdf format, and show the formatting and linking required. Note that all the links work as they should.
Create a structure of folders as illustrated below:
|
The following directories are to be named and placed in this manner:
|
Download the graphics from this page and place them in the graphics folder
Download this home page, name it index.html and place it in the root directory of the site. Be sure to save it as source and give it the proper extension.
Download this lesson page, name it lesson.html and place it in the Lessons folder. Be sure to save it as source and give it the proper extension.
Download this quiz page, name it quiz.html and place it in the Quiz folder. Be sure to save it as source and give it the proper extension.
Each page contains instructions within [brackets] for formatting and linking files. Use these to modify the provided pages and create the simple web site. Remove the text within the [brackets] when you are done.
Note that ECI 475 students do not have to complete the optional sections in order to get an "A."
Be sure the name of the root directory is midterm. Upload this entire directory to your ECI 575 Web site (found at courses.lib.odu.edu) and link it to your Web site home page.
This work must be completed by Monday, June 28.
