In place of the final I'd like you each to select a topic
related to developing online materials using some medium besides Web authoring
and/or BlackBoard. Here is a partial list of suggestions. Each will be linked
to some resources I have available:
Flash
Flash is a robust Web animation program with a fair amount
of intactivity built into it.
Blogs
I've been attempting to use Blogs this semester as a quick
way to get content up. But this is just the beginning: many are now proposing
Blogs replace discussion boards.
Learning Objects
As you're learning, it takes a lot of effort to create
online learning media. The idea of learning objects is create once and use
many times in different situations.
SCORM
And if you want Learning Objects to really work, you need
to develop a standard that allows them to communicate with one another.
This is it.
PowerPoint movies
Did you know that its possible in the newer versions of
PowerPoint to record sound and create movies? Of course, the problem is that
these movies are far too large for the Web. Is there a way to tame them?
