Starting with Lesson 5 of Weynand, we'll open clips and review keyboard commands. Be sure you are fluid at playing, stepping and rewinding clips quickly, both with and without the mouse.
The majority of this chapter involves marking clips. It works in the Viewer window using various buttons and keyboard commands to select the exact parts you want to use. There will be extensive practice on the various methods brought out in the text.
Once clips are marked, they are placed in the timeline to build a sequence. This is lesson 6 and 7 of Weynand.

Complile all of the above into a project titled "Language of Film - YourInitials" (where YourInitials means your name initials. JAH in my case). Have it ready for the next class. There should be a total of 8 clips in a sequence.
