Webwork Rubrics

Below are rubrics for all your web work. They are quite detailed, and should give you an idea of what to shoot for.

Graphics

Add one new picture to your index.html page. It can be anything from anywhere. It needs to be in a folder called graphics that should exist on your site's root level.

Having done that, see what other graphics you can employ to make your site interesting, using the following resources:

• Web Graphics Overview from WebMonkey
• Graphics from C|Net's Builder site. There's a lot of little tutorials for specific effects towards the bottom of the page.

Graphic Tricks

• Go to AtomicLearning's Photoshop Elements tutorials

Animated GIFs (if you're bored)

• Go to download.com
  • Search for an Animated GIF tool
• Use the C|Net Builder tutorial to build an animated GIF

 

Finally, become a total graphics geek by going through Optimizing Web Graphics, another tutorial from the Webreference site

• Browse animated gifs at Yahoo.
• Wade through the Clip Art Review.
